I’ll be on the BBC World Service program Newsday tonight (September 23) at 11:30 US Eastern time, to talk about Mars. The immediate reason is the arrival of two new probes: NASA’s MAVEN mission, which entered orbit Sunday evening, and India’s Mars Orbiter Mission (nicknamed Mangalyaan), which will begin orbiting Mars tonight.
