It Only Takes a Moment
Mars Curiosity has an inspiring message for you. [Photo credit: NASA/JPL/MSSS/Emily Lakdawalla; Caption credit: moi]The Mars Curiosity rover has so many cameras on a variety of mounts, it can take photos of itself. While the dust cover was still on the camera known as MAHLI (MArs Hand Lens Instrument, mounted on the robotic arm), the picture clearly shows the mast array on the rover. Emily Lakdawalla of the Planetary Society cleaned up and rotated the image (since MAHLI’s orientation made it take a skewed photo), then invited captioning. How could I resist?
